Usher Announces 2025 Arena Residencies In Sydney And Melbourne
Usher has announced his first Australian shows in over seven years, as well as his first headlining shows in almost 15. The multi-platinum rnb veteran will undergo residencies at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena and Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena in late November and early December 2025, as part of his Past Present Future world tour. The full details of the shows, as well as pre-sale and ticketing information, can be found below.
“I can’t wait to bring this tour to Australia, a place where I hope to retire in the future,” said Usher in a brief press statement announcing his return. “See you soon.” The Past Present Future tour, as its name suggests, is a career retrospective show taking in Usher’s last three decades as a solo artist and belatedly celebrating the 30th anniversary of his self-titled debut album, which was originally released in 1994. The tour also takes in the “present” by showcasing his most recent album, 2024’s Coming Home, which reached number 12 on ARIA‘s Hip-Hop/R&B Albums Chart upon release.
Usher – ‘U Got It Bad’
Usher was last seen in Australia in 2018 as part of that year’s RNB Fridays Live line-up. He was joined on the bill by Naughty By Nature, Lil Jon, Salt N Pepa, T-Pain, Trey Songz, Eve, Ginuwine, Estelle, Next and the late Fatman Scoop. Prior to that, he last played headlining shows nationally in 2011 as part of his OMG world tour. He has seen ongoing success in Australia throughout his career, having achieved two number-one hits locally (‘Yeah!’ and ‘OMG’), as well as a chart-topping album in 2008’s Here I Stand and a whopping 59 Platinum certifications for both his albums and singles.
