Wargasm Protest Scala Bouncers’ “Unnecessary” Use Of Force

The band’s Sam Watlock was injured during the incident…

Wargasm have shared a statement protesting “unnecessary” use of force by Scala bouncers.

The group played the London venue on Friday night – November 5th – performing at the FaceDown club night.

While the set itself went well, an incident afterwards has left the band’s Sam Watlock injured.

In a statement, Wargasm explained that a bouncer at the venue was “verbally aggressive” towards the band’s female tour manager, prompting Warlock to “step in”.

Wargasm then write: “After this, in a completely overzealous and unnecessary use of force, three bouncers then dragged Sam into the backstage toilets, where two of them slammed his head against the toilet seat and held his head in the toilet bowl while the third bouncer held the door closed with his foot.”

The statement continues: “At this point, luckily, another member of our touring party was able to intervene and remove Sam from the situation”.

Alongside the note, Wargasm have shared a picture of Sam Watlock’s injuries, with bruises, cuts, and red marks across his back and upper arms.

Scala have not commented on the incident.
