Andy Shauf has detailed a solo tour set to traverse the United States in 2024. To celebrate the tour announcement, the Canadian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist shared a new music video for the song “Halloween Store.”
“Halloween Store” was released earlier this year on Feb. 10, on his studio album Norm. The designs found on the video are hand-drawn by animator Margaret Bialis. Throughout the clip, Bialis showcases airy and lighthearted depictions of Halloween decorations, brightening the ennui of suburbia. In a statement, Bialis explained she hoped to replicate “the warmth and hominess of looking forward to Halloween when you were a kid” but “juxtaposed with how off-putting and cold liminal spaces can feel.”
Shauf’s spring tour will kick off starting on March 21 in Homer, N.Y. and make stops in beloved American cities including Boston, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, N.Y., Nashville, Tenn., and more. He’ll also make multi-day stops in a handful of cities, like Evanston, Ill., San Francisco, and Portland, Ore., before wrapping the trip at Aspen, Colo.’s Belly Up Tavern on May 11.
Shauf is set to round out 2023 with a string of tour dates in Europe and recently played the first show of the leg overseas at the Sugar Club in Dublin on Oct. 22. He will continue serenading crowds throughout Europe and Asia until Dec. 2.
Tickets for the Spring 2024 tour go on sale Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets for Shauf’s current tour and more information can be found here on his website.
