Watch Billie Eilish meet Justin Bieber for the first time at Coachella

A wholesome encounter.

Justin Bieber and Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish finally got the chance to meet up with Justin Bieber at Coachella, after previously admitting that she was a huge fan of the singer.

Only hours after Bieber tweeted to say that he was “proud” of Eilish’s debut performance at the festival, the pair were seen hanging out during Ariana Grande’s headline set.

Footage posted on Instagram shows the pair hugging each other as they meet for the first time, before they’re seen enjoying a dance off.

The chance meeting comes after Billie previously revealed that Justin once sent her a screenshot of a DM she had sent him back in 2014.

She told Entertainment Tonight: “You know how when you follow somebody, you can see everything they DM’d you in the past? It felt good and it felt bad at the same time.

“It started when I was, like, 12, I believe.”

She continued: “He’s amazing. He’s so sweet and, like, I feel – just, honestly, I feel for him, man. He’s been through a lot, dude.”

In a glowing review of Eilish’s set at Coachella, NME said it marked her out as a future headliner.

“‘I don’t deserve this at all,” she said at one point during the set, as stars like Lady Gaga, Kylie Jenner, and Travis Scott watched on. The truth is, though, she does. When she admits she used “sit and cry in her room because I wanted this shit so bad”, there’s a glimmer of disbelief, just for a second, that this is her real life.”

NME added: “As with every other chapter in her story so far, her Coachella debut points to things getting even more mind-blowingly wild for her very soon. Tonight (April 13), Eilish made her mark, not only as a hype act that can justify every positive word said about her, but as a future headliner and, perhaps, the future of pop.”
