Watch David Byrne and the ‘America Utopia’ Band Perform “I Zimbra” on ‘Colbert’

David Byrne recently appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to promote American Utopia on Broadway.

Byrne last appeared on Colbert in March 2018, following the release of the American Utopia LP.

This time, Byrne sat down with Colbert to discuss American Utopia‘s newest iteration, explain some of his signature dance moves and offer a song.

“The words are completely nonsensical,” Byrne says matter-of-factly of “I Zimbra,” which originally appeared on Talking Heads’ Fear of Music.
