WATCH: Machine Gun Kelly Accept The Favourite Rock Artist Award At The American Music Awards

“I want to accept this for all of the aspiring musicians”

Machine Gun Kelly was the winner of the Favourite Rock Artist Award at last night’s American Music Awards, beating AJR, All Time Low, Foo Fighters and Glass Animals.

And he used his acceptance speech as a means to inspire those who may be considering taking up music.

This is what he had to say:

“I want to accept this for all of the aspiring musicians. The one who desires to play an instrument, wants to rap, wants to sing. Not just the rock artists but also all the artists who are rock stars.”

It follows on from his performance at the ceremony by in 2020, when he played ‘Bloody Valentine and ‘My Ex’s Best Friend’.
