What So Not and ShockOne to Headline Perth’s Snack NYE Festival
Perth dance festival Snack NYE will return for its fourth year on December 31st 2023, with What So Not and ShockOne helping WA punters to bring in 2024 at the city’s Claremont Showgrounds. Described as “WA’s largest NYE festival”, the site will include a total of nine different stages – each containing a different theme reflective of different parts of the world.
“We want to take our attendees on an adventure by creating a journey through Amsterdam, Egypt, and even down the slopes at the Snow Park,” said the festival’s managing director Anni Gustafsson in a press statement.
“We’re bringing the world to Perth. European festivals bring together people from very different places and backgrounds. All differences in life are forgotten; everyone is there to enjoy the moment, create memories, and make new friendships. The mission is to create a safe space where everyone can feel free, express themselves, and embrace their creativity just as they are. Our vision is to offer
everyone that magical feeling of community across the various stages and zones we’ve designed.”

In addition to its nine stages, Snack NYE is also promising extra features such as show rides, a bucking bull rodeo, roaming dancers and performers, a court for giant beer pong and the “biggest ever” silent disco, with over 5000 channels set to be implemented. Its final release of tickets, with optional VIP packages, are available for purchase now via Megatix.
What So Not, who will play the set that leads into January 1, toured his latest album Anomaly with the ‘Live Mode’ tour back in July. He is set to return to Darwin in the new year as part of the BASSINTHEGRASS festival line-up for 2024, joining the likes of Macklemore, Jet and Bag Raiders. Shockone, meanwhile, recently completed a national tour in support of drum-n-bass veterans Pendulum; he is expected to join them as opener yet again on the band’s upcoming UK tour in March.
