Wonderland Forest Pauses Live Music, Shifts Schedule to The Westcott Theater in Syracuse

Wonderland Forest, a live music venue and campground in Lafayette, N.Y., has shared an official statement regarding the 2025 summer concert season, writing in part: “It is with heavy hearts today that we must bring you the unfortunate news that Wonderland Forest must pause.” As a result of the difficult decision, performances have been moved to The Westcott Theater in Syracuse, N.Y. 

The venue’s official website said they were poised and prepared for the 2025 season. Still, they faced “unexpected hurdles,” which account for the shift. They explained, “Our stages will stand still and silent in the coming months, but they will do so only in anticipation of our next chapter after we reclaim, rebuild, and return stronger than ever. We don’t feel this is our finale, but rather the beginning of our next crescendo.”

Before offering a solution by shifting locations, the folks behind the Central New York space commented on the jam scene element and inspiration for the outdoor experience. They wrote, “Over this past generation the concepts of concerts, camping, and the festival ecosystem that has spread all over the world was revitalized by Phish in the mid-90’s. Back when they did their first few festivals there wasn’t anything else like it. It was at those shows, when we were coming of age, that this dream was born. Suffice it to say, when Trey Anastasio and TAB played our first major show here of our 2024 season, it was extremely special, a full circle.”

In conclusion, concerts will continue, only at another location. “We are deeply grateful to announce that nearly all of Wonderland Forest’s scheduled concerts will continue as planned at The Westcott Theater in Syracuse. Details are provided below. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to continue with the same music experiences as originally planned, while ensuring a smooth and memorable concert environment,” the statement included. 

According to the official website, camping and add-ons will be automatically and fully refunded: Dogs in a Pile’s Burning Daylight Festival (May 23–25), Pigeons Playing Ping Pong/ The Infamous Stringdusters/ Melt (May 31), and Leftover Salmon / Keller Williams (August 1). Those performances will now occur at the aforementioned Syracuse venue. 

Into the Woods, featuring the original member of the Allman Brothers Band, Jaimoe, has been cancelled: “Despite our best efforts, this event will unfortunately no longer take place as planned.”
