Pauline Herr delivers another evocative melodic excursion, ‘Obsession’
Erring on the side of vulnerability, Pauline Herr gifts fans with yet another emotionally evocative track following her August EP, Contradiction. “Obsession” combines Herr’s ability to transparently share her heart with her listeners, showcasing her vocal and lyrical depth with abundant clarity.
Beginning with ambient tonality and an ethereal vocal lead, Herr pours raw emotion into the track, offering syncopated kicks before chiming in with a trap-inspired beat. Opening up about her latest delivery in a press release, Herr divulges,
“This song means a lot to me because I wrote it about someone really special in my life. I’ve never written a love song, so it felt good to create a more uplifting track than my previous, more melancholy vocal and production work.”
