This weekend, in the spirit of the Allman Brothers Band, second-generation guitarist and keeper of his father’s songs, Duane Betts, and his wife, Lisa, will host the Horseshoe Music Festival in Jackson, Wy. The forthcoming occasion features musical themes that pay tribute to the host’s forebears, including the addition of a one-of-a-kind Allman Brothers Band Museum, showcasing a rich collection of mementos and artifacts tied to the acclaimed Peach State band.

The Allman Brothers Band Museum at Horseshoe Music Festival is one part of a large plot to honor the late jam enthusiasts. As a musical component, Friday night has been dubbed “Skulls & Peaches”. It will feature a special tribute to his dad’s collective and the Grateful Dead, with a selection of choice songs from both repertoires, performed by the Horseshoe Family Band: Betts, Alex Orbison, Cody Dickinson, Erika Orbison, Frank Hannon, Jackie Greene, Johnny Kimock, Johnny Stachela, Jorgen Carlsson, Lamar Williams Jr., Mattie Schell, Mikaela Davis, Nicki Bluhm, Steve Kimock and more. Before the supergroup takes the stage, Betts’ own Palmetto Hotel project will play its own set.

Following a similar format, on Saturday, September 13, day two presents independent sets of music from Erika and Alex Orbinson, followed by Frank Hannon, before Palmetto Hotel resumes their slot ahead of the final Horseshoe Family Band performance. During the All-Star set, the group of veteran players will take on a Soul of the South theme, evoking choice material from Otis Redding, The Marshall Tucker Band, and beyond.

In addition to music, the occasion offers exceptional experiences, including the White Sage Market, retreats, and wellness options, as well as specialty VIP offerings. For more information, visit www.horseshoemusicfestival.com.
