St. Paul & The Broken Bones Expand Angels in Science Fiction Tour, Share Debut Bay City Rollers Cover

Today, St. Paul & The Broken Bones expanded their Angels in Science Fiction Tour, which will support their latest studio project under the same name. The swelled set of dates will see the band turn up in the Southern region of the U.S. before a slate of East Coast appearances, with support from Sugadaisy. Tacked on to the tour announcement is the group’s debut cover of Bay City Rollers’ “Saturday Night.” Listen.

St. Paul & The Broken Bones will spend much of the fall and early winter on the road supporting their latest release, Angels in Science Fiction, with a slew of already-announced concerts. After closing out the aforementioned run in mid-December, they will resume their tour with another run of gigs beginning on February 16 at the Mars Music Hall in Huntsville, Ala. In continuation of the tour, the band will turn up at the Orange Peel in Asheville, N.C., the next night, followed by added stops in Virginia and Maryland.

From there, they’ll take the stage at College Street Music Hall in New Haven, Conn., on February 23, prior to an ensuing stand the next night at the Fillmore in Philadelphia. Then, on February 25, St. Paul & The Broken Bones will put on a show at the State Theatre in Ithaca, N.Y., and Burlington, Vt.’s Higher Ground the next evening. They’ll continue with stops in Buffalo, N.Y., Pittsburgh, and a final stand on March 3 at The Jefferson Theater in Charlottesville, Va.

In addition to a fresh set of dates, the band shared a debut cover of Bay City Rollers’ 1974-released “Saturday Night” from their original album, Rollin’.  St. Paul & The Broken Bones adaptation takes the initial high-powered format and breathes an element of modern rock into the favored weekend chant.
