Waxflower Have Released An Energetically Stark New Track ‘Soak’

They’re back and bolder than ever.

Waxflower have returned with a new track and kickstarted the next part of their journey.

The track is called ‘Soak’ and fizzes and bangs with glitchy electronics, emo rap flows, throwback atmospheres and a chorus that washes over you. There’s even a little surprise breakdown for good measure. It’s the most complete and confident that they have sounded in who they are yet and sets them up for a very exciting 2022.

Vocalist Tristan Higginson had this to say about it:

“Soak is about the lowest of lows; standing before a hopelessness that feels insurmountable. When my panic attacks were at their worst, I wanted a medicated lobotomy — I just wanted it to be done. The song zeroes in on those moments where you would give up anything for the pain to stop.”

The band released their debut EP ‘We Might Be Alright’ earlier this year via Rude Records.
